Reflection
can’t tell from here if
I’m inside looking out or
outside looking in
–
midnight musing-
maybe I’m the one
in the mirror
can’t tell from here if
I’m inside looking out or
outside looking in
–
midnight musing-
maybe I’m the one
in the mirror
through endless farmland-
I suddenly see myself
in a passing train
–
ice tinged puddles-
a stranger lingers
in the water
a golden eagle-
soaring as the sun sinks on
a cumbrian lake
–
reflections-
autumn leaves
in the water
it’s not who I am
this someone in the mirror
but who I became
–
a placid lake-
the moon’s watery
countenance
feeling the glass give
reaching in through the mirror
to pull myself out
–
glassy water
ripples spread
across the surface
