Morning

goose down sleeping bags
the morning mist rises as
we share the sunrise

breaking sunlight-
our bedroom window
kissed by frost

Morning

blackbird’s lilting song-
sunlight caresses your face
just before you wake

in the clouds-
the soft glow of
an autumn dawn

Morning

awake in my bed-
dawn eases through my window
gilding all I see

a web of stars-
blackbird songs
invades my dreams

Morning

dew covered hillsides-
clouds escape the grass just to
touch the morning sun

morning lovers-
sunlight caught
in my coffee cup

Morning

our fingers entwined-
the dusky blush of daybreak
mirrored in your face

the rising sun-
my finger traces
along your lips

Morning

concentric ripples
spreading across the surface
of a misty lake

lakeshore
a striped bass
breaks the surface

Morning

Your disheveled clothes
Strewn at the foot of our bed
Are all I have left

Morning

I wake before three
I go to freeze on dark tides
For another’s riches
