a forest clearing-
under a thicket the faun
waits for her mother
–
gauzy moonlight-
the woodland’s heart
whispers my name

a forest of ghosts-
cadavers stand sentinel
bleaching in the sun
–
echoes –
sunlight on
the forest floor
