Fire

ashes in the air
embers of glowing orange
peering through the flames

quiet laughter-
coals dying
in the night

Fire

the burning forests-
gaia’s tears turn to embers
borne off by the wind

peals of thunder-
rain falling
on a wild fire

Fire

a guttering flame
struggling to hold the wick
before going out

roiling clouds-
searing winds blow
the grasslands ablaze

Fire

well seasoned hardwood
crackles and hisses as it
slowly turns to ash

rolling seas
a cigarette cupped
against the wind

Fire

A vortex of blue
flame howling in the furnace
as I gather glass.
