Fire
ashes in the air
embers of glowing orange
peering through the flames
–
quiet laughter-
coals dying
in the night
ashes in the air
embers of glowing orange
peering through the flames
–
quiet laughter-
coals dying
in the night
the burning forests-
gaia’s tears turn to embers
borne off by the wind
–
peals of thunder-
rain falling
on a wild fire
a guttering flame
struggling to hold the wick
before going out
–
roiling clouds-
searing winds blow
the grasslands ablaze
well seasoned hardwood
crackles and hisses as it
slowly turns to ash
–
rolling seas
a cigarette cupped
against the wind
A vortex of blue
flame howling in the furnace
as I gather glass.
