Atonement

alone with my sins-
I pray for atonement and
for the strength to change
–
overcast-
rain runs down
stained glass

pleading for my life-
attempting to atone for
the wrongs that I’ve done
–
morning dew-
my sins cast
upon the water

If I’ve done you wrong
If I’ve caused you grief or pain
I beg forgiveness.
