Dappled light wanders.
Across the lush, verdant grass
Drops of falling rain,
Waiting, outstretched tongue.

I go to freeze on dark tides
I wake before three.

Crimson clouds hang low.
The day’s embers glow softly,
burning down to dusk.
The night air’s cold hand
reaches down and pulls my breath
in shards from my chest.
Late October rain Bees covet the wildflowers While the desert blooms
Lying on the floor The world passes me by as I try to let it
Tumbled river stones Transforming into sand by Water’s persistence
