Dream

an ocean of sleep-
the receding tide leaves a
tangled mat of dreams

dandelion seeds-
bare whispers
of my mind

Nightwings

on reticent wings
under cover of darkness-
silently hunting

liquid moon-
a stream of bats
flows through the night sky

Snow

a sheltered hollow-
in the footsteps of winter
the last melting snow

mid april-
morning grass
crusted with snow

Senses

opening the blinds-
the white light of a full moon
caresses your skin

pounding surf-
the taste of salt
on your lips

Waves

guilded ocean waves-
just above the horizon
the last slice of sun

riding the waves-
fog crashes
into the beach

Chill

winter’s dying breath-
the winged herald of spring
arriving too late

morning frost-
tender lilac buds
robed in ice

Warming

softly glowing coals-
the gentle curve of your hips
make the snow drifts blush

afternoon sun-
rising streams
of snow melt

Radiance

the blankets askew-
you stand before the window
glowing in moonlight

together asea-
with eyes the sky
and hair the sun

Spring

blue snow glories-
dry autumn leaves pushed aside
to make way for spring

muddy paw prints-
tracking spring
across my floors

Fair

taunting the punters-
precariously balanced
just before the plunge

the village fete-
powdered sugar
dusts my shirt
