Difference
I may be different
but I am not a problem
that needs to be solved
–
fly fishing-
different clouds
under the same sky
I may be different
but I am not a problem
that needs to be solved
–
fly fishing-
different clouds
under the same sky
stalks of winter wheat
growing through the rusty frame
of an old tractor
–
rising light-
a tattered scarecrow
greets the sun
autumn mornings spent
polishing the temple bells
as the sun rises
–
robins-
footprints in
the morning dew
inhaling my breath-
fresh clay from the river banks
shaped in my image
–
amber leaves-
a broken vessel
returned to the earth
how can one be blind
to the light that shines within
your beautiful soul
–
orion-
etching of
the evening sky
low, the morning moon
full behind the breaking clouds
glowing in the sun
–
pumpkins on the vine-
the eastern sky
full of promise
full of suspicions-
in our bed looking at you
lying beside me
–
crevasse-
a broken trust
far from healing
a chance encounter
just glimpse of your face then
you’re lost in the crowd
–
incoming tide-
all these memories
built on sand
a prick and a push-
quelling my inner deamons
for just a moment
–
thunder-
reveling in
the sudden silence
pleading for my life-
attempting to atone for
the wrongs that I’ve done
–
morning dew-
my sins cast
upon the water
