Forgive
the full solstice moon
begs forgiveness of the sun
for stealing her light
–
from dust to dust-
the fullness of time
forgives no one
the full solstice moon
begs forgiveness of the sun
for stealing her light
–
from dust to dust-
the fullness of time
forgives no one
pale silver moonlight
captured in the broken glass
strewn across the street
–
autum eve-
crickets silenced
by shattering glass
moonlight in her hair-
she walks along the shoreline
and into the night
–
a turtle’s splash –
the moon wavers
on the water
living in this house-
a shrine to your past regrets
and those yet to come
–
low tide-
finding sea glass
and jellyfish
early morning moon-
fog nestles in the valleys
and clings to the leaves
–
moonrise-
gravestones hidden
in the mist
mid september moon
shines behind indigo clouds
circled in silver
–
blushing-
the harvest moon
kissed by the sun
rains of twilight passed-
crickets outside my window
singing me to sleep
–
tv static-
the low hum
of a ceiling fan
a cutting garden-
in the shade of a straw hat
she tends the flowers
–
up with the sun-
bent double
pulling weeds
shadows of the moon
climbing down from the treetops
to hide from the sun
–
lakeside dawn-
eider ducks
begin to stir
well gone past midnight
swimming in the rain, lightning
off in the distance
–
scattered clothes-
midnight at the
swimming hole
