Winter

delicate saplings-
bending to the fickle will
of the winter wind

bare branches-
a light dusting
of fresh snow

Trees

november evening-
skeletal trees charcoal black
in the fading light

graveyard’s edge-
bone fingers
in the mist

Disregard

you can take my heart
and do with it what you will
I’m finished with it

driftwood-
sand dunes
strewn by the wind

Death

cold and sterile rooms-
the emptiness of being
alone here with you

makeshift rafts-
icy waters
devoid of life

Rebirth

my respite over
the calling of this new life-
irresistible

moonglow-
another turn
at the wheel

Venus

rising from the sea-
her newly formed shores made from
black and steaming glass

predawn chill-
venus and jupiter dance
in the twilight

Snow

tender young seedlings-
the promise of the harvest
rises through the snow

first snow-
our children’s
hot chocolate

Rise

autumn morning light
wanders in through the curtains-
your slow even breath

darkness-
waking to
a sudden rain

Fish

waiting for the sun-
sitting on a weathered dock
fishing rod in hand

fly fishing-
casting shadows
on the water

Sunlight

sensing acceptace
evil walks in the daylight
no longer afraid

sunlight-
insects scatter
from prying eyes
