Dream

an ocean of sleep-
the receding tide leaves a
tangled mat of dreams

dandelion seeds-
bare whispers
of my mind

Senses

opening the blinds-
the white light of a full moon
caresses your skin

pounding surf-
the taste of salt
on your lips

Grind

reaching from behind
the hands at his neck slowly
loosening his tie

watching ants-
his entire life
buttoned down

resonance

a moss covered oak-
the sound of a woodpecker
hollow in the trees

echoes of prayer bells-
an ancient shrine
forgotten

Radiance

the blankets askew-
you stand before the window
glowing in moonlight

together asea-
with eyes the sky
and hair the sun

Reflection

can’t tell from here if
I’m inside looking out or
outside looking in

midnight musing-
maybe I’m the one
in the mirror

Night

moonlight in the surf-
a little black dress gathers
in pools at her feet

island starlight-
cool sand on
your bare thighs

Glow

sitting ‘neath the moon-
entranced by the graceful curve
of your bare shoulder

caramel skin-
silver moonlight
in your hair

Forest

a forest clearing-
under a thicket the faun
waits for her mother

gauzy moonlight-
the woodland’s heart
whispers my name

Senses

sight not born of eyes-
I see every detail of
the shape of your soul

winter morning-
the smell of your pipe
still lingers
